Criscia's Experiences during the Storm

My experience during the snow was good and bad. Bad because in the , weekend of the storm , I stayed without power in the house . It was very cold.My mother gad the idea to build a fire . All my family stayed in the dining room together. Them I helped my father to shovel the front of my house. There was a lot of snow .My mother bought enough food for the storm , and we did not have problems with food.In the afternoon I did my homework . At nigth I stayed in the dining room listened the radio . The next day my father decided to go out to look for some wood for the fire .We could not find any wood. After that we decided to go back to the house. While my mother started to prepare the dinner the power came back. Everybody was very surprised and happy. We could watch TV and take a shower. It was good during the week. I woke up later every day, watched TV, talked with my friends and my family by msn and slept. All of my life I've never seen a lot of snow. I had a different experience that maybe I will never see again in my life.

During the vacation I sled with my brothers,Guido, Costanza and Filippo down the steet.But my father shoveled all the time to have the driveway clear.My mom cooked for the family lasagne and scaloppine al marsala and gelato al pistacchio for dinner. I also studyed Italian and read some Italian and English books during the time.Then the day after I went skiing with my family even if I wasn`t very well, but it was a exciting day.Finally I finish my Italian homework and I had a great day with my family.

That's the view from the glass door in the basement, the snow was really thick.

During the snowstorm, I didn't anything interesting. Other than shoveling snow out of the driveway, I only played computer and watch movies. I couldn't really get out of the house, the driveway was drowned with snow and that could be fixed by shoveling the snow out of the driveway. The car and the road was buried under inches of snow so we gave up from trying to get it out. And my dad even kept telling me to shovel almost every 3 hours in the middle of the blizzard, saying its better to shovel before the snow gets thick. Yes, painful.

Anyway, the power in my house went out once during the snowstorm, in the early morning, just a matter of seconds. That was because of something that blew up nearby our house, but I never really found out what blew up in the end, until now.

Well, that's the second time I have experinced of blizzard, beside last year. I think I've had enough, and I'm looking forward when spring comes.

I have never seen this amount of snow, so I was exhausted to shovel snow. I do not want to experience this amount of snow anymore.

Diego's Snowstorm

When I wake up, the first thing I did was to look outside and see how the street was. I obviously couldn't see the street so I realized the huge snowstorm I was beginning to live. Fortunately I didn't lose the electricity, but my neighbors did, so I spent the whole day with them, watching some movies and stuff like that. The following days were very similar, I couldn't get out of my house. It was really boring, but I really enjoyed the days of sleeping. I also shoveled the snow with my dad, it was a really huge work, but it was a work that needed to be done. When the weather got better, I went to a party with my friends and had a great time there. Well that's the experience of my first snowstorm and I hope it would be the last one.

SNOW WEEK SKIING

The week that was plenty of snow I did what i know how to do, and that is ski. Inmediatly after school my family and I went to liberty mountain (a place to do ski). The first day we took pictures and we did the reservation. Then the rest of the week we did ski. It wasn´t really awesome, but was really funny for me.

Thoughts from AUDE

I love snow and I specially love when it is snowing but this year snow was my worst one so far. They cut our electricity for one whole week(no food, no hot water, no heat my mom was sick and my dad traveled.) we woke up every morning and we ate hard bread. My lil brother and sister are all the time crying because it was too cold in the house. Three days later, my big sister called my auntie to come and take us in her house.

Experience the Maria Catalina

This way the street was when get up on Saturday, the 7th and without light, I touch myself to go out to look for warm water where some neighbor who had light me cost very walk in the snow until ultimately it manages to come with warm water to my house to be able to think warm you. But afterwards we went to the house of a few friends of my dad to have lunch and there we saw movies and in the night my dad said that us fueramos to sleeping to the house was atrocious for Sunday it was quite frozen by thousand jackets and trousers and almost I could not sleep it was the worst night.

Good this it is my experience with the snowfall but the good thing is that us could to raise late and to see television and to play to computer late.

Blizzard --------Pamela Song

In last 2 weeks, we got school off, because we had a blizzard. It was the biggest I have ever seen! I did sliding with my friends.I was a kind of lucky cause my house is on the top of the hill, and we have 2 sleds in my house. I had a lot of fun from sliding with my friends! But unfortunately my dad's car was stuck in the snow and we couldnt get out from there. I also went ice skating with my friend and went to a party with him. We had a lot of Italian food and watched a lot of movies.We had a lot of fun!!! But we need to make up school work as quickly as possible.

Mateus's thoughts about the snow storm

The day before the blizzard my mom and I went to the nearest supermarket of my house, which is a Giant Food. Every product was gone, we were to late to get some food for our family, but hopefully we got at least some chips and sodas to saty alive. When I woke up the next morning everything was white in front of my house, I couldn't even see the cars that I usually see, the trees seemed smaller and the house's roofs were covered by the snow. I've never been in such a situation before. I'm not used to this weather, it's too cold for me. Luckly I had full electricity during my stay in home, I had hot water, light, etc. I did all my homeworks at the beginning of the week so that I could relax and do whatever I wanted. I just played FIFA10 in my Ps3 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the best games!!! That was my ''fun'' snow vacation.
